In the simplest terms, Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) is the art and science of making your website attractive to search engines. It uses ever-evolving techniques designed to improve your website’s visibility in search engine results pages (SERPs), such as Google & Bing.

With over 200 ‘signals’ measured by Google, the timings wil depend on finding the exact mix that works for your website. Generally, we see positive results within the first few months of a long-term campaign.

SEO improves the authourity of your domain (DA) as well as improving your chances of being ranked for a search term. The higher your DA and the technical standards of your website, the higher up you appear in the search results. Page1 appearances improve your traffic levels by up to 90% and top positions can mean that you get around a third of all clicks for a search term. This is why SEO is ranked as the top priority by Digital Marketing Managers EVERY year.

SEO will generally deliver a better ROI than PPC simply as there are no ad fees. Whilst PPC is frequently used on a seasonal and campaign basis, SEO is a long-term strategy that will deliver excellent results once top rankings are achieved. Generally, a mix of the two will yield the best results, but every business and market is different.  

We only limit the number of keywords in our most budget-friendly package which is aimed at start-ups. For a proper, long-term campaign to work, we will need to address all the relevant search terms that drive relevant and converting traffic to your website.

For start-ups who may wish to do much of their own work and need some advice and help with measurement we have a basic package option. At the start of a campaign you will hear from us a lot. During the ongoing SEO campaign, we will be in touch as and when the activity requires it and we have something to share or require approval. This is generally a few times each month. On top of this, you will receive our progress and summary report in the early part of each month as a month closes.

At the start of every month we will provide a report showing the key stats relevant to SEO progress. Amongst them we include organic traffic levels, search engine ranking positions, user-signals (conversions, bounce rate, average page time, engagement rate) and various key technical indicators. We are proud of our transparent reporting and based on client feedback, it is one of the keys of our success.

At the start of every new customer relationship we will provide you with a document detailing everything that we will need access to and the relevant details that you should use. Amongst these are access to your Google Analytics account, CMS (if permitted) and all other relevant accounts that you may or may not have in place. In addition to these access considerations, we will also need to know who your competitors are and which keywords are important to you. It’s worth noting that we will also do our own research and it is not uncommon to establish that your competitors are not always who you think they are and neither are many of your keywords.

Whilst we will definitely improve your initial situation, the Google algorithm is ever changing and evolving. In short, ANY agency guaranteeing you results are misleading you to win your business. There are some factors outside of our control including the age of your domain, competitor activity and the correct mix of the 200+ elements that affect SEO may be alluding at times. In addition, whilst we will check for them,  any historical ‘black-hat’ techniques used on your domain in the past could have attracted a Google penalty which will need addressing before we can see any real results.
