Accessibility Statement

This statement was last reviewed and updated: 12 March 2026

Our commitment

Clarus Digital Ltd is committed to making clarusdigital.co.uk accessible and usable for everyone, including people with disabilities or who use assistive technologies. We believe that good accessibility is good design — and that an inclusive web benefits all users.

We continually review our site and aim to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines), the current internationally recognised standard for web accessibility, published by the W3C on 5 October 2023.

What you should be able to do on this website

We aim to ensure you can:

  • Navigate all pages using a keyboard alone, without needing a mouse
  • Use a screen reader to access and understand all core content (we target compatibility with JAWS, NVDA, and VoiceOver)
  • Resize text up to 200% without loss of content or functionality
  • View content clearly in high-contrast modes or with customised browser settings
  • See visible focus indicators when navigating by keyboard
  • Access all content without time-limited interactions

Technical standards

This website targets conformance with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA, which is organised around four principles:

  • Perceivable — content is presented in ways all users can perceive
  • Operable — all functionality is available via keyboard; focus is always visible and not obscured
  • Understandable — content is written in plain English; forms and interactions behave predictably
  • Robust — content is compatible with a wide range of current and future assistive technologies

We use semantic HTML5, structured heading hierarchies (H1–H4), descriptive alt text on images, and accessible form labels throughout the site.

Known limitations

We are committed to transparency. The following areas may not fully meet WCAG 2.2 AA and are under active review:

  • Third-party embeds — Some embedded content (e.g. social media feeds, map widgets) is provided by external platforms and may not fully meet our accessibility standards. We are working with providers to address this where possible.
  • Older PDF documents — Some documents published before September 2020 may not be fully accessible. If you need any document in an accessible format, please contact us.
  • Video content — Some older video content may not have full captions or audio descriptions. We are working to address this for new and priority existing content.

We are committed to addressing known issues and improving the site on an ongoing basis.

Legal basis

As a UK private sector service provider, Clarus Digital Ltd has a legal obligation under the Equality Act 2010 to make reasonable adjustments so that disabled people are not placed at a substantial disadvantage when accessing our services online. WCAG 2.2 AA is the accepted technical benchmark for demonstrating those reasonable adjustments have been made.
