There are many ways to quantify and qualify a project’s success. Firstly, the client’s view was that it was a great reflection of their business and the position that they have established in the market as a highly skilled, family-owned business with a large number of very happy customers. Secondly the performance of the website in both attaining and converting new business opportunities, especially in the target sectors.
Soon after the new website launch, the website, which had been delivering a consistent number of low impressions in the Google search results, leapt by over 1,400%, in the first fortnight, meaning that instead of appearing in Google search results 4 or 5 times per day, they suddenly appeared an average of around 75 times per day. With the addition of an ongoing SEO campaign, this growth trend has continued since, ensuring the continued share of search results and subsequent business benefits including a greater number of relevant, local enquiries.
The huge increase in impressions was of course driven firstly, by a vastly improved number of keywords being ranked for with many of these at high positions on page one. Prior to the launch, the domain ranked on pages 1-2 for a number of local searches but the new website and it’s improved structure, SEO elements and content, massively increased the number of keywords being ranked for and moved the majority to positions 1-3. We continue to work with this client to increase the number of keywords that they rank for further and ensure that the top positions remain stable.
It’s all well and good ranking for your target keywords, but without a website designed to convert these new visits to enquiries the objectives wouldn’t be delivered.
